Bangladesh Tourist Guide From Discount Hotels

Bangladesh is a country in South Asia with a population of 152.6 million. Almost eleven million of these live in the capital of Dhaka. Dhaka is a historic city with many old buildings that will delight all visitors to this country. Visit the Lalbagh Fort, which was started in the 17th century, but was never completed, the Ahsan Manzil Palace and the Pink Palace. There are a large number of mosques in the city. Take a trip just north of the city to the British section, where you will find the presidential palace, called the Banga Bhavan, the Dhakeswari Temple and several parks. Close to the central railway station you can see the 1000-year-old Black Buddha stone at the Kamalpur. The plants and flowers at the Baldha Gardens are quite rare.

You can make Dhaka your base from which you explore other areas of the country. Just twenty miles eats of the city, you can see the historic relics dating back thousands of years in the Sonargaon region. Northwest of the city, in Dhamrai, you can see many Hindu temples as well as many archaeological sites.

Chittagong is another city of Bangladesh and is located in the southern part of the country. Here you will see evidence of the European influences from the colonial period, such as the Shahi Jama-e-Masjid, which is very similar to a European fort. In the heart of the city, you can visit the holy shrine of Dargah of Sah Amanat. Throughout the country you will gaze in awe at the exquisite scenery at every turn, majestic waterfalls, and spectacular gardens.

Birdwatchers will think they are in heaven with the birdwatching opportunities in Rajendrapur National Park. Animal lovers of all ages will delight in seeing the spotted tigers and other unique wildlife at the Sundarbans National Park. If beaches are what you want when you visit Bangladesh, then the beaches and resorts of Kuakta are for you although you may want to walk in the sand of the world's largest beach at Inani Beach.

There are plenty of accommodation in the capitals city where the restaurants also serve western food. The leading hotels also have pubs, but there are no nightclubs in the country. Since this is a Muslim country, the sale of alcohol is also forbidden. When you go shopping in Bangladesh, you have to shop for the pink pearl, printed saris, coconut masks and bamboo products as well as Mother-of-Pearl jewelry. You will certainly have unique gifts to bring to those waiting at home.
