Northern Mariana Islands Hotels & Tourist Guides

Northern Mariana Islands Tourist Guide From Discount Hotels

The Northern Mariana Islands are located about halfway between Hawaii and the Philippines and feature a tropical paradise with stunning beaches and scenery. There are three main islands - Saipan, Tinian and Rota - each one offering a friendly atmosphere. The sunsets on these islands are unforgettable and have to be seen to be believed. There are many organized tours of the islands available, but you will be perfectly safe if you want to venture out on your own.

On Saipan, you have to visit Bird Island with its breathtaking views. You can explore Banadero's Cave where you will see many relics of the Second World War and visit a natural fortress made of limestone. The Grotto is a huge limestone cavern connected to the open water by underground passages. The American Memorial Park offers many hiking trails and picnic areas. You do need to take the day trip to Managaha Island in a glass - bottomed boat in which you can glimpse all the underwater life.

There are gigantic hand-carved limestone structures on the island of Tinian as well as numerous World War 11 structures, such as the Atomic War Pits. In the central part of the island, you will have a breathtaking view of the whole island from Mount Lasso. For most tourists, Rota is the island that they fall in love with. Attractive villages adorn the island that is also home to many different kinds of wildlife. Take a tour of Taisacana's Botanical and Nature Trail and view the prefect rows of cocoanut trees at Tweksberry Park.

Golf courses and dive sites abound on all the islands, where you have astounding views of the Pacific as you tee off. The islands offer world-class scuba diving that attracts diving enthusiasts from all over the world. Although this vacation will take you away from the hustle and bustle of city life, you will need a rest when you return home with the wealth of activities that exist. Accommodation are first-class and are designed to suit all tastes and budgets.
