The borough of Solihull is located in the West Midlands region of England. Birmingham international airport is only 4 miles away, whilst multi-cultural "second city" Birmingham City Centre is just 7 miles away. World famous home of English poet and playwright William Shakespeare, Stratford Upon Avon, is just a 30 - 45 minute drive.
The main hub of entertainment within the Borough is located in the town centre. Solihull is a 340 seat theatre which hosts plays, music shows, stand up comedy and a whole lot more. The parish church of St Alphege marks the religious centre of Solihull and there are 18 different parks to choose from which offer a variety of lush greenery, urban wildlife and walking trails.
Also popular in the region is the town centre's night life. Relatively small and compact, which makes bar-hopping easy, the town centre is serviced by dozens of buses and taxis. The Opal Lounge and national chain Reflex are the two main nightclubs and there are also a dozen bars to choose from, some with in house DJs.
Touchwood is a nationally known shopping centre with plenty of stores to choose from that sell everything from designer clothes, electrical goods, and books, to music, jewellery and more. There are also many eateries to choose from within this centre.
Why not indulge your taste buds in the nearby Sparkbrook and Sparkhill districts of Birmingham? A large Pakistan and Indian community, Sparkhill and Sparkbrook play host to the internationally renowned Balti-triangle. In fact Birmingham is known as the Balti capital.
Solihull and the surrounding areas offer a wide range of hotels and accommodation to suit all pockets and tastes.
