Located in Midtown Manhattan in New York, Carnegie Hall is a world famous concert venue that is situated between West 56th and West 57th Street, on Seventh Avenue. The hall was built in 1890 by Andrew Carnegie, and is a beautiful venue with a rich history, excellent acoustics, and a distinctive design. This is a venue that has become a favorite for both classical and popular music, and every season around one hundred performances take place here.

Performing groups are able to rent out Carnegie Hall, which was once residence to the New York Philharmonic until the early 1960s. There are three separate and distinct halls within Carnegie Hall, and these are the Main Hall, the Recital Hall, and the Chamber Music Hall. Within Carnegie Hall you will also find the Carnegie Hall Archives, as well as the Rose Museum.

Carnegie Hall boasts a distinctive Renaissance style and fascinating architecture, and is a great place to visit and admire when you visit New York. An array of world renowned artists in classical and popular music have entertained thousands of music lovers here over the years. The outstanding contributions of Carnegie Hall to the city of New York won it the Hundred Year Association of New York's Gold Medal Award in 1991.
