New York City Tourist Attractions - Rockefeller Center Guide

Rockefeller Center Tourist Guide - New York City

The Rockefeller Center comprises nineteen commercial buildings in New York, and is a popular and world famous tourist attraction. Located between 48th and 51st Streets in Manhattan, this building gained the status of a National Historic Landmark in 1988. Named after the family that built the complex, the Rockefeller Center is the largest privately held complex of this type in the world, and has become one of the iconic attractions in the city of New York.

The modern architecture of the Rockefeller Center is a well known sight in New York, and every year many visitors from around the world flock here to enjoy one of New York's most famous buildings. You will find a number of well known commercial establishments inside the Rockefeller Center, including Radio City Music Hall, the GE Building, and the headquarters of Christies auction house, amongst others.

You can enjoy panoramic views of the city when you visit the observation deck at the Rockefeller Center, which is located on the seventieth floor of the building. This is a great opportunity to enjoy seeing New York from a totally different perspective, and offers great photo opportunities. You will find that the observation deck is particularly spectacular at night, when you can view the beautiful city of New York lit up and looking magical and enchanting.

There are many amenities and facilities available at the Rockefeller Center, including a choice of places to shop, with everything from health and beauty products to books and gifts available, over forty places to enjoy a snack or a meal whilst you are on your visit, and a host of entertainment including tours of Radio City Music Hall and NBC Studios.
